On our recent trip around Pelion, we had the chance to stay in an incredible guest house called Oriades. The guest house is located at Mouresi village in the heart of Pelion. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the traditional villages of Tsagarada, Mouresi, and Kissos, which are among the most beautiful in Pelion.

Another advantage is the proximity to the best beaches in Pelion. In just 10 minutes by car, you can swim to the crystal clear waters of Mylopotapos, Agios Giannis, Papa Nero and Plaka beaches. The place is ideal for hiking as there are many paths that take you around the lush vegetation of mountain Pelion.
Oriades is housed in a traditional stone house that dates back to 1870. The guest house has five rooms that offer a lot of amenities to make your stay comfortable. We stayed at the garden villa, a very cute house with a king-sized bed in the attic, a small kitchen with a fridge and a microwave, a living room with a double sofa that turns into a bed, a fireplace and an air-condition.
The place has also a very good Wi-Fi signal which is important for me when travelling, a tablet, an LCD TV and a stereo. The bathroom is equipped with toiletries and a hairdryer. The room was so comfortable that it felt like you were at home. I appreciated the fact that the owners paid attention to the details,; they even had a mosquito repellent, a life savour for your sleep in the summer months.
The guest house also has a big garden with trees and flowers where you can relax at the hammock or the sunbeds and enjoy the view of the mountain. The breakfast is served inside your room in winter or in the garden in the summer and it’s prepared by the owners. It consists of freshly baked bread, homemade marmalade, freshly squeezed juice, coffee, fresh eggs and products that come from their garden.
The owners, a young couple Dora and Makis were very friendly and polite and helped us with the exploration of the surrounding area. They even recommended to us one of the best tavernas we have ever eaten.
Another fact that made our stay enjoyable is that the guest house is pet friendly and we had the chance to take our dog with us. I totally recommend Oriades guest house for your visit to Pelion.

Many thanks to Oriades guest house for hosting us. As always all opinions are my own.
This is really an interesting and cozy place! It’s awesome that they have hammock and that they’re pet-friendly!
Yes I loved that they were pet friendly as well
Beautiful, rustic guesthouse in lovely surroundings. It looks like the perfect place to relax. I love homemade breakfasts and places with hammocks! Great recommendation
It was a geat place so cosy!
I’d like to point out a few things – note the combination of rustic and modern elements, and the role that lighting plays. This sort of confluence can either be done poorly, or in this case make it a veritable work of art, when it comes to interior design.
I loved the design!
What a quaint place to stay! I love the beaches and miss those lovely Greek breakfasts but I will be in Athens in 4 short days!!! 😉
That is great! Enjoy your time in Greece
